With the wind forecast to be westerly my go to venue is the River Orwell at
Levington, my visit there since 13th April! Arrived at the marina in lovely
sunshine and things looked good with the wind gusting over 20 knots but
sadly not a great direction for here wsw:( Robert arrived and we both
rigged sails around 5.2 but by the time we launched the sun had
disappeared. I did fly straight off the beach but the session went down
hill as it was very lumpy and gusty, no sail would have been right today,
one minute you were overpowered the next you were floundering along, it
even rained on us! I did make it down to the dock once but westerly would
have been much better! After a couple of hours playing hunt the gust I had
had enough and called it a day. I had time to shower and pack up before Mag
arrived on her bike with lunch! A few days of wind coming but wsw again
tomorrow so not sure what to do?
